02 / On your device
What never comes to us
InOne is built so the creative work you do in the app stays with you. The following are stored locally on your iPhone or iPad, and we cannot see, access or recover them from our servers:
- Scripts you type, paste, import or generate
- Recordings, takes, stitched timelines and exported videos
- Transcripts, filler-word marks, pause marks and edit decisions
- Autocue settings such as speed, text size, colour and Follow My Voice
- Captions, filters and motion choices applied to a take
Voice following, supported speech recognition, and Apple Intelligence writing (when available on a compatible device) run on your device. We do not send your script or audio to our servers for those features.
If you delete the app, that local data is removed with it, unless it is included in a device backup you have chosen to keep with Apple.
03 / Analytics
Product analytics with PostHog
We use PostHog, with analytics ingestion hosted in the European Union, to understand how InOne is used. That helps us see which features people open, which ones they ignore, and where the app might be getting in the way — so we can fix bugs and decide what to build next. We may also look at subscription and product signals (for example whether InOne Pro is unlocked) to understand how the paid experience is used.
We do not collect your name, email address or Apple ID for analytics. InOne does not ask you to create an account. Analytics still uses pseudonymous identifiers: a random app/install identifier can connect sessions over time, and person profiles in PostHog are configured to be created for these analytics identities. Not knowing your legal name does not mean activity cannot be linked across sessions.
A typical event might record things like:
- That a feature was opened or completed — for example writing a script, starting the autocue, recording a take, running cleanup, stitching clips, or exporting
- Which settings were chosen, in general terms (such as Follow My Voice on or off), not the words on screen
- App version, device type (iPhone or iPad), and iOS version, so we can see if a problem is specific to a release
- Application lifecycle signals (for example that the app became active)
- That InOne Pro was unlocked, without any payment card or App Store account details
Screen and interaction autocapture and session replay are turned off in the current InOne analytics configuration. Explicit feature events and selected person properties are sent instead.
04 / Subscriptions
Apple payments and RevenueCat
InOne Pro is offered as auto-renewing subscriptions (monthly and annual). Apple processes App Store payments. We do not receive your card number, Apple ID password, or billing address from that checkout.
We use RevenueCat to help manage subscriptions and entitlements (for example whether InOne Pro is active) and related purchase metadata needed to unlock paid features. RevenueCat processes a RevenueCat app user identifier and subscription/entitlement information. Payment card handling remains with Apple.
In the current shipping-intended build, the RevenueCat app user identifier is also registered with PostHog as a shared analytics property so product usage can be analysed alongside subscription status. That link is between provider identifiers — not your name or script content.
Paid plan prices and any eligible free trial are shown in the App Store / purchase sheet before you buy. Cancel or change auto-renewal in your Apple Account subscription settings: apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Removing the app from your device does not cancel a subscription.

What analytics does not include
Feature events are about the product, not your content. We do not send PostHog:
- The text of your scripts
- Video, audio, photos or transcripts
- The words you marked, cut or restored
- Your contacts, location history, or advertising identifier for tracking across other companies’ apps
PostHog may receive a network address (IP) in order to estimate country and keep the service secure. We do not use that to read your creative work, and we do not combine it with the scripts or recordings stored only on your device.

Usage analytics opt-out
InOne Settings includes a control for sharing usage analytics. When that preference is off, InOne opts out of further analytics capture to PostHog.
That control does not cancel a subscription, delete events already stored by our analytics provider, disable Apple’s payment processing, or stop RevenueCat from managing entitlements needed for InOne Pro.

How the marketing site is measured
This website (rlysimpl.com/teleprompter and this privacy page) uses PostHog separately from the iOS app. On the site we measure traffic such as pages viewed, link clicks, scroll depth and rough navigation context. Website PostHog is configured with person profiles for identified visitors only, with autocapture enabled, and a random identifier stored in a first-party cookie and local storage so visits can be counted consistently.
We also load a privacy-oriented traffic script from Ahrefs on rlysimpl.com to understand general visit patterns. Neither the website analytics stack nor Ahrefs receives your InOne scripts or recordings.
08 / Permissions and backups
Camera, microphone, Photos and backups
The app asks for camera and microphone access so you can record, and for Photos access so you can save an export. Those permissions are used on your device. We do not upload that media to ourselves.
Device backups (including iCloud Backup, if you use it) are controlled by you and processed by Apple, not by us.
09 / Why
Purpose and legal basis
We process product analytics and related subscription-status signals to improve InOne: seeing which features are used, finding crashes and dead ends, understanding the paid experience, and deciding what to work on. Purchase and entitlement processing exists so you can buy and use InOne Pro.
Where UK GDPR / EU GDPR applies, we rely on legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) for product analytics that do not include your creative work and are not used for advertising, and on processing that is necessary to provide a requested purchase or subscription where that applies. We do not sell this information. If a particular processing step requires consent under local law, we will ask for it rather than treating this policy as that consent.
10 / How long
Retention
Product analytics in PostHog are intended to be retained for up to two years. A policy sentence does not by itself delete data; retention depends on the live PostHog project configuration, which should be kept aligned with this statement. Purchase, billing and entitlement records held by Apple or RevenueCat may be kept for different periods under those providers’ practices and legal obligations. Local app content stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.

Who helps us
PostHog processes product and website analytics on our behalf (EU analytics hosting for the configurations described above). RevenueCat processes subscription and entitlement information on our behalf. Apple processes App Store distribution, payments and (if you use them) device backups. We do not sell your information to data brokers or advertisers. We do not share app creative content with third parties because we do not hold it on our servers.
International transfers may occur depending on how those providers operate their infrastructure. We have not published a separate transfer-mechanism schedule on this page; ask [email protected] if you need more detail for your situation.

13 / You
Your rights
Analytics records are organised around pseudonymous identifiers, not your legal name. In some cases those identifiers may still allow a record to be looked up if you can share relevant technical details (for example an analytics or RevenueCat identifier you are able to obtain from the app or a prior support exchange). We will not ask for Apple passwords, payment card numbers, or unnecessary copies of your scripts or recordings.
You can delete local InOne data by removing content in the app or uninstalling it. Depending on where you live, you may have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or complaint to a supervisory authority. Email [email protected] and we will help as far as the data we actually hold allows. In the UK the supervisory authority is the ICO.

Not directed at children
InOne is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
15 / Changes
Updates to this policy
If we change how InOne handles data, we will update this page and the date above. Continuing to use the app or website after a change does not waive rights you have under applicable law, and this page is not by itself consent where consent is required.
