This policy applies to the Schengen IO iOS app. Schengen IO does not collect, store, or transmit any information about you in any way.
Zero data collection
We built Schengen IO so your travel history never leaves your control. The app has no analytics, no account system, no advertising identifiers, and no background reporting to our servers — because we have no servers that receive your personal data.
Everything stays on your device
Your entry and exit dates, trip notes, and allowance calculations are stored locally on your iPhone or iPad. We cannot see them, access them, or retrieve them. If you delete the app, that data is removed with it unless you have chosen to back up your device through Apple.
Optional iCloud Sync
If you enable iCloud Sync, your data is encrypted and synced through your Apple iCloud account directly between your devices. It is handled by Apple’s iCloud infrastructure, not by us. We never receive a copy of your synced data.
No third-party tracking in the app
The app does not include third-party analytics SDKs, crash reporters that upload personal data, or marketing trackers. We do not sell data — we simply do not have any to sell.
What we do not do
- Collect your name, email, or contact details
- Track your location in the background
- Transmit your travel logs to us or any partner
- Profile you for advertising or marketing
- Require an account or sign-in
